Not even in the early days of thinking does the brain let you insert a religion all the way into the subconscious, you can't even insert a maybe into the subconscious, only ever "I know, I pretend." In the early days of thinking, most people are consciously aware of this. Religion is just a silly little cultural thing, we like to pretend, it means something but it doesn't mean the thing it's saying it's meaning, it just means we know there's something and we made a little thing out of it for cultural and philosophical purposes.
Then comes the dogmatic relgions, they hard hammer it into you that if you don't really believe this you will meet an eternal fate inconceivable to you. Now everybody knows they need to try their fucking hardest, this is getting serious. Semi-consciously, no, you are always at least 80% aware of the fact that this is false, 20% trying your hardest to find a maybe, there is never anything that remotely resembles certainty. Consciously you pretty much know you're full of shit, you're always presenting, you're looking for your maybes, you're clinging as hard as you can to your maybes, but you know there's a very good chance you're about to lose your eternal paradise and fall into eternal torture. It doesn't matter that much, though, because they always make sure to write in that your God only cares about appearances, as long as you say the words that maintain everybody else's ability to say the words, that's all your God cares about. Consciously you think the words that declare certainty, but, that's not what's happening in your conscious non-verbal thought presence, some people train themselves to become unaware of the contents of their non-verbal thought presence.
The base of the structure is cognitive dissonance. The more cognitive dissonance the better, the harder it is to believe the more frantic the cling. When a lack of perceptual filter bypass mind is faced with structure reinforced ego construction collapse it frantically attempts to support it utilizing the power of feelings. They focus on the one part they know to be true, it's something, and because it's something, it could only be this, the correct something that has been inserted, the something. After being challenged they end up more confident in their cognitive dissonance than before their cognitive dissonance was challenged, the challenge causes it to reinforce itself. "This is a test. This is a test. This is a test. I've been warned about the test. Outside logic is a test on how well I can maintain my structure of cognitive dissonance. In the end I am rewarded. In the end I am rewarded. In the end I am rewarded. Maintain my structure of cognitive dissonance and in the end I am rewarded. The answer is not what I think, the answer is what I feel. The answer is not what I think, the answer is what I feel. The answer is not what I think, the answer is what I feel. It's different. It's different. The logic system outside of the religious bubble is different than the logic system inside of the religious bubble, it's just different that doesn't make it better. There are others in the bubble. There are others in the bubble. We share our logic systems, we keep them safe we reinforce them. Don't. Look. Inwards. Don't. Look. Inwards. The inside of the mind is the most horrifying thing an ego invested person could look at. Looking inwards is EVIL." And because it is always an ego invested mind, any attempt to tamper with the structure of cognitive dissonance is met with a frantic emotional "Just let me have my beliefs! You're not supposed to drive into an ego invested mind with logical deconstruction it goes fucking ballistic. Especially on this one when the structure lodged within the ego construction is literally everything the ego invested mind is and without the structure it loses it's eternal paradise."
Once a week they attend the cognitive dissonance maintenance seminar, they hear what they want to hear, they feel an inner peace, the structure of cognitive dissonance is safe for another week because heaven. Day by day they drift away from their religion semi-consciously, they start to lose their conscious grip on maybe, they make sure to bring them back one day a week to maintain them before this drifting becomes too dramatic to halt, reassure them everything is okay and let them be with all of the others so they can all compete over who believes the most blindly. Maintain their perceptual filters with behaviourist psychology. Whether or not this is a deliberate act in the beginning stage of most religion is a thing we can only paranoid-edly ponder. "I don't like the evil looking inwards one, I prefer the behaviourist cover up one. It's the kind of psychology that speaks to me better for some reason."
They are quite blatant with their use of behaviourist conditioning. When my father was trapped in a refugee camp in Cambodia during the rise of the Khmer Rouge, the Christian missionaries would withhold food from the children until the admission of the acceptance of Jesus. Associate Christianity with reward. Obviously driving my father and all of the Buddhist monks into a rage. No South Park was not joking.
No sex, no drugs. The only path to happiness is through your religion. An orgasm or a drug high only lasts a moment, the bliss of knowing you are one of the few chosen saved lasts forever. The only lasting happiness is to give yourself to your religion. You are locked in. You are under our spell. There is no escape. The bliss of your religion dulls your mind and keeps you from challenging anything. Passive drone under our spell doing as we say. I believe I may have heard an opiate metaphor from a certain clever man regarding this concept. The blissful Christian float, the mind numbing opiate, is in fact a symptom of persistent delusional disorder. It keeps the whole thing untouchable.
"Oh yeah okay and that just disproves it." No no no we can do a much better disproves it. Go away.
No. Making somebody convert by talking to them about what you've learned from The Society of Social Disturbance does not count. They have to figure out how to do it all by themselves with no awareness whatsoever of the existence of The Society of Social Disturbance or any of the concepts presented by The Society of Social Disturbance. We're not doing what they think we're doing, why on Earth would any of us ever be invested in their conversion? This isn't about their ego, nothing is ever about their ego.
Behaviour Modification
Religion is generally the prime source of unnatural alterations to the baseline human experience that create in your face off-communication and off-behaviour, the kind of behaviour that causes the irresolvable feelings and drives you to the desire to murder. Some religions or near-religion philsophical frameworks do reasonably okay, they channel inner behavioural desires rather than force proper behaviour on top of you from outside of you. However they are still prone to causing certain irresolvable feelings in certain people, people who treat these philosophies as the force from outside of you and live within a false framework of their new philosophy, they're not finding the true reason they wish to be this they just know this is how you behave in the manner that demonstrates the power of your ego and puts people in their place.
